FIRE BEHAVIOR AND EXTINGUISHER TRAINING

Our fire behavior and extinguisher training meets the required objectives for NFPA 1001 Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications (2002 edition). In our fire behavior classes we will define fire and explain what it takes to have a fire. This is enhanced with the use of several practical experiments. In our fire extinguisher classes we discuss the types of fires and extinguishers, the fire extinguisher rating system, inspection of fire extinguishers and how to use extinguishers on actual fires. Our extinguisher classes also use a new LP fueled fire extinguisher pan. This pan in our opinion is much safer and easier to use that previous diesel fuel and water pans. Using LP as the fuel instead of diesel fuel makes it easier to ignite, cleaner burning, less waste and with the use of a quarter turn valve, safer for the Instructor and student.
